Our Building Services division provides complete Facilities Management of properties throughout the UK, providing mechanical and electrical engineering support, cleaning, catering and grounds maintenance on a planned and reactive basis, using technological solutions to manage our teams in the most efficient ways.
We are looking for an Operations Manager to join the team on our Kent County Council project based in West Malling, Kent.
The purpose of the role will be to manage and delivery of the project and programme within budget, ensuring the achievement of contractual requirements. Building the satisfaction of internal and external customers, as well as managing client and customer stakeholders.
What you'll do:
- Lead and develop management direct reports as well as wider team(s).
- Participate in developing, maintaining, and executing a Health, Safety, Environment and sustainability project action plan.
- Fully understand the contract operationally and commercially and set commensurate targets.
- Accurately report progress each month, including key activities linked to compliance and H&S. To take a proactive approach to prevent losses and maximise profitability.
- Be a key contact and to build and maintain an effective and supportive working relationship with members of the Skanska Building Services team and client
- Carry out regular audits to ensure Quality Assurance
- Participate and chair external audits and accountable for closing out any non-conformances
We’re looking for:
- Proven client and stakeholder relationship builder
- An experienced Operations Manager with proven experience in managing projects and facilities management service delivery.
- Practiced proven leader, operationally, commercially and financially astute.
- Excellent problem solver
