Operations Manager | FMCG Logistics | Bury St Edmunds | £40,000 - £45,000 |

Our client is a European logistics business with over 10 sites spread across the continent. They specialise in the storage, blending & shipping of highly in-demand products within the consumer goods sector.

Working Monday to Friday in Bury St Edmunds, you’ll play a key part in ensuring this modest sized yet busy depot maintains excellent performance standards.

This role offers a unique mix of traditional logistics management duties coupled with responsibility over the sites Quality Management systems. However, given that these are two very different skillsets and career paths, our client is willing train the Quality management side if required. The logistics management experience is essential. Ideally, you'll have some familiarity with food manufacturing quality processes.

Your main duties will involve; customer & supplier relationship management, leading the inbound & operations teams, internal & external quality auditing, legislative compliance and similar logistics related duties.

What will you need?

• Logistics management experience, ideally with exposure to shipping/imports & exports
• Experience with supervising key logistics staff members, including performance management, appraisals, etc
• A passion for delivering excellent service
• Any exposure to working with quality systems, QMS, auditing or similar would highly beneficial
