Job Title: Operations Manager
Salary: £36,660 - £48,000 per annum
Hours per week: 35
Location: At IOSH, we embrace hybrid working because we believe it's the key to achieving work-life balance, strategic success and fostering our collaborative culture. You'll be required to work from our head office in Wigston, Leicester a minimum of 2 days per week (Tuesday - Thursday ). The remainder of your working hours will be undertaken from home. We would also consider this role for candidates currently working remotely.

About The Role
We have an exciting new internal opportunity in the Communities and Volunteer Engagement Team. This is a key leadership role supporting our communities and volunteers, focused on delivering efficient, effective, and customer-focused operational support.
You will lead the development and continuous improvement of business processes that support our community committees. You'll manage administrative functions including committee recruitment, events, finance, and data reporting. You'll also oversee a small team and work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure high-quality service delivery aligned with IOSH's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement streamlined workflows and SLAs to support community committees.
Lead projects that enhance support for communities and align with IOSH's strategy.
Manage committee recruitment, event coordination, and finance processes.
Monitor and improve operational processes through continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure accurate CRM data and produce accessible reports aligned with KPIs.
Collaborate with internal teams to integrate volunteer activities across the business.
Promote IOSH values and contribute to a culture of inclusion, sustainability, and wellbeing.
Essential Criteria
- Strong understanding of business operations, service delivery, and continuous improvement
- Experience in leading and developing teams
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and produce actionable insights
- Experience in project management and drafting user-friendly documentation
- Project management qualification or equivalent experience
