Operations Manager (Rainwater Management)

We’re excited to announce a new opportunity for an Operations Manager within our Rainwater Management team at United Utilities. This role, created as part of our AMP8 investment programme, will lead the delivery of key operations, maintenance, and benefits realisation initiatives

  Oversee operations and maintenance of all adopted Rainwater Management interventions, including SuDS and Nature-Based Solutio
• ns.Deliver capital maintenance / operational programmes, managing surveys and monitoring to optimise performance and benefi
• ts.Provide operational guidance across all Rainwater Management projects and housing developmen
• ts.Develop and embed best practice technical guidance for operations and maintenan
• ce.Establish processes to track and report the value of interventions to UU and communiti
• es.Act as the lead contact for installed interventions, working closely with Drainage Area tea
• ms.Manage stakeholder relationships, including the Environment Agency and local counci
• ls.Control maintenance budgets and resources, ensuring efficient delivery of planned activiti
• es.Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, health & safety, and performance standards, using CIRIA SuDS guidan

ce.
What we’re looking

  Degree (technical or leadership) or equivalent experi
• ence.Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing teams and perform
• ance.Proven ability to manage large, low-value/high-volume programmes and contr
