Operations Project Manager

Position summary

The Operations Project Manager operates in project mode, delivering clearly scoped, time-bound initiatives across Delivery, Sales and Marketing functions in line with business priorities. The role is designed to structure, coordinate and delivercross-functional business projects,rather than to hold permanent ownership of functional activities. Project topics, scope and priorities follow the business needs and will certainly evolve over time.

The position plays a key role in improving execution, governance, visibility and collaboration across teams, while maintaining clear ownership boundaries with Business Development, Delivery and Marketing leadership.

Operating model

Work is organised around projects with defined objectives, scope, timelines and deliverables. Projects are prioritised and agreed with management based on business needs and capacity. The role acts as project lead or project coordinator, depending on the nature and complexity of each initiative

Functional ownership (sales targets, delivery accountability, marketing strategy) remains with the relevant leaders.

Scope of work

The scope of workis defined on a project-by-project basis and may vary in nature,scale and duration.

Projects may include, but arenot limited to,the following examples:

• Delivery-related projects, such as:
• Create collateral related to new offerings and partnerships
• Draft external communication to clients
• Ensure that clients’ specifications are well defined and respected
• Work on business proposalsand commercials with Business Development
• Sales-related projects, such as:
• Improving pipelinevisibility, reporting, CRM usage, and sales operations processes
• Coordinating proposal, RFP, or go-to-market initiatives
• Supporting clientonboarding or client operations improvement initiatives
• Marketing-related projects, such as:
• Coordinating go-to-market initiatives, campaigns, or client-facing events
• Supporting thought leadership, contentdelivery, and case study initiatives
• Improving marketingprocesses, tooling, analytics, or reporting frameworks Across all projects, the role focuses on coordination, structuring and execution

Responsibilities

Project Management & Coordination

• Lead or coordinate business projects from initiation through to delivery
• Structure project plans, milestones, deliverables and timelines
• Identify stakeholders, dependencies, risks and constraints
• Facilitate decision-making, alignment and escalation where required
• Track progress and ensure delivery against agreed objectives
• Produce clear project documentation and status reporting

Business Operations & Governance

• Ensure projects are aligned with business priorities and capacity
• Support prioritisation and workload management across initiatives
• Clarify roles, responsibilities and scope for each project
• Maintain project standards, templates and best practices
• Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and operating models

Reporting & Management Support

• Develop and maintain reporting on active initiatives and outcomes

Governance & reporting lines

• Reports to Eugenie STEELE, head of marketing

Works closely with:

• Business Development Directors
• Practice Leads
• Marketing and Delivery stakeholders
• Project authority is limited to coordination and execution, with no line management or commercial ownership responsibility

Knowledge and experience / qualifications

Essential:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management, PMO, business operations or consulting operations
• Proven experience delivering cross-functional initiatives in professional servicesor consulting environments
• Strong structuring, planning and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong PowerPoint and Excelcapabilities
• Ability to manage multipleinitiatives and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Desired:

• Experience in Capital Markets, Bankingor Financial Services
• PMOor Project Management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, etc.)
• Experience supporting go-to-market or transformation initiatives

Strong understanding of consulting delivery models
