Operations Support Manager

This is a site-based role at Worthing.

The Orals Operations Support Manager has responsibility for the supporting Orals Value Stream, processes and associated decisions to ensure delivery of customer service and schedule adherence whilst maintaining quality and safety standards for the area of their responsibility.

In this role you will


  • Is responsible for developing and executing short and long term plans to support delivery of the Value Stream strategy and vision in the form of project activity, solutions and improvements to processes and ways of working. This will encompass operations, quality and safety.
  • Act as a point of contact and continuity between the Operations Teams the Technical Support teams and the Capital groups ensuring project work and the daily operations deliver to schedule. Deputise for Operations Manager as required.
  • Manage and represent the area at audits to ensure compliance and success at all levels (1 – 4)
  • Own the BCP – business continuity plans.
  • Work with enthusiasm to deliver transformational and continuous improvements, using OE methodology to deliver sustained improvement and efficiencies, this includes coaching and developing of team leaders and their teams.
  • Act as the link between the complexity reduction team to assist in the smooth transition of product transfers into the orals value stream.

Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:


  • A-levels, GCSEs or significant experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of pharmaceutical manufacturing or packaging operations in a first line leader role or equivalent operations or quality support role. Experience of continuous improvement tools and techniques.


Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:


  • SAP, computer literacy, people management, manufacturing/packaging experience


About Worthing Manufacturing Site:
