About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to build and lead a small, high performing team at the heart of the Electoral Commission’s Electoral Administration and Regulation Directorate. The Directorate leads the Commissions regulatory functions, working with those who deliver electoral services and those who participate in the democratic process.
You’ll play a key role in shaping how the Directorate delivers on its corporate responsibilities during an exciting period of change and growth. Directly supporting our mission to maintain trust and integrity in the democratic process, from driving operational and financial planning, to embedding quality assurance and performance insight across the Directorate. You will have scope to influence how we work, develop processes that make a lasting impact and gain high level exposure across the organisation.
As the Directorate’s lead for operational support, you will be a trusted advisor and key link between our team and the wider organisation. You’ll be involved in work that shapes strategic decision making, enhances efficiency and drives improvement across our operations.

We’re looking for an organised, proactive leader who can balance strategic oversight with hands on delivery. You’ll be confident in managing competing priorities, influencing at all levels and delivering measurable improvements that benefit the Directorate and the Commission as a whole.
