About The Role

We have a part-time Helpline Advisor position available to join our Out of Hours Customer Service Team. Your working hours will be
Fridays 4:00pm - Midnight. (7 hours), on a
12 month contract. This will be a primarily home-based role with attendance in our Andover office as required.
As an Out of Hours Helpline Advisor, you'll be part of a team who take inbound calls from patients needing emergency dental treatment. You’ll be there to support and advise them during this time of need, whilst making outbound calls to dental practices to secure an appointment for them. You’ll also respond to general customer service queries via email, providing an excellent level of customer service to ensure their queries are resolved. Our Denplan customers receive an insurance benefit, covering them to receive emergency dental treatment whilst away from their registered dental practice. Your role is critical to the delivery of this essential service.
When you join the team, you’ll attend remote training for two to three weeks (we can be flexible as to when these training hours take place). This induction training programme will get you up to speed, confident and equipped to handle the role independently, alongside the guidance you’ll receive from your manager and team.
We are looking for someone who’s flexible and willing to take on some overtime to cover team holidays, weekends, nights and bank holidays.
About You
To succeed in the role, you’ll be someone who:
- Communicates effectively and works well under pressure. Customers calling the Helpline will often be in a stressful situation, so you’ll help them to remain calm
- Demonstrates customer service excellence. You’ll have a desire to help each caller. You will use your initiative to source appointments for them, keeping them updated with your progress regularly.
- Comfortably works on their own, self-motivated and uses own initiative
- Has IT skills, able to quickly pick up our customer and appointment systems

We have a head office in Hampshire, but depending on your role, you’ll be able to enjoy our ‘smart working’ approach This means you can flex when and where you spend your time. For many of us this means day to day work can be handled remotely, but there will also be times when we need to come together in the office to collaborate, attend training sessions, induction, briefings and more.
