Job Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated and proactive support workers to work in our diverse, welcoming and friendly team. We support adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, with a range of needs, including mental health challenges.
Your role will be providing high-quality, personalised outreach support to adults in their own homes and in the community, supporting them to live as independently as possible and to achieve their goals.
This role involves travel between clients across the north areas of Leeds. This is paid time and a proportion of travel expenses can be claimed.

Responsibilities
As a Support Worker, you will work with clients to deliver person-centred support tailored to their unique needs, skills, and aspirations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting with daily living skills and household tasks
- Accompanying to appointments and activities
- Encouraging and supporting their interests and hobbies
- Promoting health, wellbeing, choice, and independence
- Researching and supporting to access local social groups and opportunities
- Assisting with completing forms, dealing with correspondence, and managing appointments
- Supporting positive risk-taking while safeguarding individuals from abuse and exploitation

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
As a Support Worker, you will provide high quality care and support to our clients to enable them to live their best life. You will be passionate in making a difference to our client’s lives, helping them to fulfil their aspirations and ambitions.

- Ensure that all support is provided in a way that protects clients from abuse and exploitation, maintains their dignity, and supports positive risk-taking.
- Each one of our clients is different and has different needs and no two days will ever be the same.
- Work always in accordance with Health and Safety requirements, such as Manual Handling, Food Hygiene, Fire Safety, infection control, and Risk Assessment procedures.
- Carry out a range of household duties in accordance with the needs of the client including cooking, cleaning, laundry, and other domestic duties as required.
- Understanding of the importance of maintaining accurate written and numerical records. Ability to use, or willingness to learn to use, our client records application (Nourish)
- Able to work cooperatively as a team member.
- Able to liaise and communicate effectively with carers, families, inspectors and other external stakeholders.
