The Programme Manager will be responsible for the operations of the research group, will act as a force multiplier on the group’s impact, and will promote and build its global reputation. This post will also oversee the day-to-day management of the group’s Project Support Officer. It offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to support and collaboratively work with a fast paced and world-leading research group, and who would be motivated to help find solutions so the group runs efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for translating the vision of the group into an operational plan and executing the same. You will coordinate with multiple stakeholders across industry and academia to organise and manage the group's project portfolio which is composed of many projects (> £3m).
The ideal candidate will expertly coordinate between various departments and teams, write grant proposals, develop project and donor reports, assist in research dissemination by refining the group’s communication, outreach, and collaboration strategies. The candidate will coordinate with the media, developing materials (e.g. for website, newsletter, talks, presentations) and help coordinate the group’s outreach efforts. The programme manager will lead and drive the group’s HR, finance, and health and safety related processes, and coordinate with the relevant stakeholders as required. The role will offer great opportunities for career development, as a step to transition into a leadership position within the group. The successful candidate will be expected to work onsite in Oxford. They will also ensure that the relevant administrative duties are carried out (in partnership with the group’s Project Support Officer) and that appropriate management and support is available for each of the partners, to support the delivery of the project, designating funds where needed to achieve this aim
