As a PA to the Junior Bursar you will be working for one of Cambridge’s most historic and prestigious colleges to find as a highly skilled PA supporting their Junior Bursar. This opportunity will see you joining a small, close-knit office within a world-class academic environment, providing high-level administrative support and ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly.

- Salary: £37,133

- Hours: 36.25 per week, with some flexibility on start/finish times
- 5 days per week on-site, no parking
What you’ll be doing
- Acting as the right-hand person to the Junior Bursar, managing a busy and complex inbox with speed and accuracy
- Handling a wide range of administrative and organisational tasks, you’ll be trusted to run with the tasks so experience is essential here.
- Coordinating with the Committee Co-ordinator and wider team to ensure meetings, committees, and projects are managed seamlessly
- Acting as the first point of contact in the office; greeting visitors and handling enquiries with professionalism and always maintaining confidence.
What we’re looking for
- Experience: Previous EA or PA experience at senior level, or a highly senior administrator role. Experience within an education or academic environment would be ideal, but is not essential
- Resilience: You’ll need to be thick-skinned and confident – the Junior Bursar has a direct communication style and needs someone who can handle that without missing a beat
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of people at all levels
- Organisation: Proven ability to prioritise and manage a high-volume workload with accuracy and discretion
