Packaging Designer – 3 Days/Week | London Design Studio | 12-Month FTC

At Hotel Chocolat, packaging is more than just wrapping – it’s at the heart of our mission to make people and nature happy through the reinvention of chocolate. Our packaging tells the story of who we are: farmers with dirt under our nails, pioneering sustainable cacao farming, and a premium, witty, bold chocolate brand.

We’re looking for a creative and passionate Packaging Designer to join our London Design Studio for a 12-month FTC, 3 days a week. You’ll bring ideas to life from the first sketch to finished product, working closely with our development team and under the guidance of our Senior Manager. If you’re inspired by design that surprises, delights, and tells a story, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

Bring the global brand strategy to life through innovative, impactful, and commercially minded packaging ideas.
Generate and articulate clear concepts.
Collaborate with internal and external partners throughout the packaging development process.
Help dream up designs that are unexpected, charming, and full of personality.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

Outstanding portfolio of packaging work.
Experience in packaging design and branding for luxury brands or retailers (in-house or agency).
Packaging range rollout and range architecture experience.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects.
Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite CC (Illustrator and Photoshop essential).

Desirable:

Strong understanding of materials, print finishes, surface graphics, and packaging print techniques.
Knowledge of InDesign and Dimensions.
Experience across premium to luxury brand packaging.
