Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic band 6 Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our team.

East Lancashire Hospitals Paediatric Physiotherapy Department are dedicated to enabling children and young people to fulfill their physical potential in every aspect of their lives. We provide both acute inpatient service to the paediatric medical wards and the Neonatal Unit, as well as community services managing a range of short and long term neurological, developmental, genetic orthopaedic, MSK and respiratory needs.

The post holder will support the Neurological, MSK and Early Years pathways being responsible for the assessment and treatment of children and young people. (0-19). The role may include being the named Physio for a local special needs school therefore will include assessment and prescription of specialist equipment and contribution to EHCP reports.

You will be supported to continue to learn and develop your clinical knowledge and skills, alongside opportunities to develop leadership skills. Previous knowledge and experience is required, however additional training, development and support will be offered throughout.

To deliver clinically excellent person-centred care that promotes independence, recovery and well-being for children and young people 0-19yrs, include those with SEND.

To provide assessment, planning and delivery of care across a broad caseload and in a variety of outpatient settings- (patient’s own home, Education settings etc) across a variety of clinical areas/within a designated service area.

Independently manage a varied caseload, organising this effectively and efficiently regarding clinical priorities and use of time.

To undertake all clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner, taking responsibility for organising and planning own caseload to meet service and patient priorities. Contribute to EHCP and Annual Review requirements in line with statutory timescales. Assess and recommend specialist equipment to support 24hr postural management.

To work as an active member of the multidisciplinary team within your dedicated service area and actively contribute to the planning and coordination of individual patient plans.

Deputise for the Clinical Team Lead, taking responsibility for operational management of the team to meet clinical and service priorities.

The service operating hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm
