- To provide a high standard physiotherapy undertaking all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
- To deliver specialist assessment and therapeutic management of children across Northern Lincolnshire (Base in Scunthorpe). To take responsibility for a caseload of children 0-19 years including those with; muscular skeletal, neurological, orthopaedic and rheumatology conditions within a variety of settings.
- Perform advanced physiotherapy assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical conditions and including use of specialist equipment. Use advanced clinical reasoning skills to provide, develop and deliver an individualized treatment programmes and care.
- Responsible for managing own caseload and a defined area of the service, working without direct supervision and in a variety of settings including: homes, Child Development Centre, schools and specialist settings.
- Supervise, educate and assess physiotherapy students, registered and non registered staff and provide specialized advice to other health care professionals in the specific clinical area.
- Undertake evidence-based audit and research projects and service developments to further own and teams clinical practice. Make recommendations to clinical lead/manager of service for changes to practice by the team. May lead the implementation of specific changes to practice or contribute to development of service protocols.
- Provide high quality specialist Paediatric Physiotherapy assessment and support for a wide range of less and more complex conditions in order to provide evidence based and timely support reducing the risk of harm, preventing deterioration and improving outcomes.
- Responsible for managing own caseload and a defined area of the service, working without direct supervision.
- Responsible for leading delegated service improvement and quality initiatives in order to drive forward improvement for CYP in our area.
- Supervision, support and training for junior staff and other professionals to ensure a highly skilled, supported workforce.
- Provision of Specialist written and verbal advice including statutory duties
