Description
This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a trainee with an interest in education to develop as a clinical medical education. It also offers the opportunity to be involved in the exciting field of simulation. It is aimed at those who wish to build on their personal teaching experience to develop expertise in educational theory and practice and undertake supervised educational research. To assist Hillingdon Hospital Module lead for BMS and Firm lead for Imperial in their educational strategy to design, develop, deliver & evaluate Clinical Education Programmes which encompass essential clinical skills, high fidelity simulation, human factors, communications skills & patient safety training.
The post holder will have varying responsibilities for organisation of and
supervision of all Undergraduate teaching and assessment within Paediatrics. In particular the delivery of 1:1 teaching of individual students within the clinical environment with the completion on mini PACES, OSCEs, the facilitation of the induction course and student
appraisal as well as facilitate and deliver small and large group teaching
Develop teaching, including materials and resources with others, to support the undergraduate curriculum within the department. Design/develop programs for use on the mini-i-Pad. Contribute to the teaching of undergraduate clinical skills, in conjunction with the
Clinical Skills team. Participate in regular Departmental, Academic and Audit meetings.
