The Role
We are looking for a skilled Paint Repair Technician to carry out high-quality paint rectification and cosmetic repairs on motorcycle components and finished motorcycles. This role is critical in ensuring all painted surfaces meet Norton’s premium quality standards before progressing through build or to the customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect painted components and completed motorcycles for cosmetic defects

• Carry out paint repair, rectification, refinishing, and blending

• Prepare surfaces including masking, sanding, flatting, polishing, and finishing

• Apply paint finishes using spray equipment to defined standards

• Achieve accurate colour matching across gloss, metallic, and heritage finishes

• Record defects and rework actions in line with quality requirements

• Work closely with Paint, Quality, and Assembly teams to support continuous improvement

• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and comply with H&S and COSHH requirements

Skills & Experience

• Experience in paint repair or refinishing within automotive or motorcycle environments

• Strong knowledge of paint systems, surface preparation, and defect rectification

• Confident using spray guns, polishing equipment, and preparation tools

• Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship

• Experience with premium or low-volume manufacturing desirable

Qualifications

• NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Vehicle Body Repair / Paint Refinishing (desirable but not essential)
