Assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidenced- based nursing care.
Provide expert advice and clinical practice.
Provide specialist education and training to others.
Work collaboratively and co-operatively with clinical colleagues to develop services in order to deliver quality care.
Support the development of clinical services within the specialist field in line with national and local guidance which includes the NHS Cancer Plan, Palliative and End of Life Care Strategy .
Participate in a rota that provides seven day a week (08.30 to 16:30)
Provide specialist palliative care support and advice to patients, those important to them and to colleagues across settings. In collaboration within peers, plan, deliver and evaluate palliative and end of life care education across clinical areas. Participate in non-clinical activities such as local, regional and national audit; local and trust wide implementation of the MFT Palliative and End of Life Care Strategy, and support the development of resources that will enable staff to deliver high quality, evidence based palliative and end of life care.
