Our team
We have one of the largest full-service Real Estate teams of any global law firm and are consistently recognised in legal directories worldwide. Our clients include 62 of the FTSE 100, 58 of the Fortune 100, and 92 of the Fortune 200. We are also panel advisers to 25 major international banks and several hundred global companies.
Eversheds Sutherland’s market-leading Corporate Real Estate team delivers strategic, commercially focused advice across both domestic and international markets. Our approach combines pragmatic legal insight with award-winning technology tailored to client needs.
The Leeds Corporate Real Estate team supports a diverse range of corporate occupiers across sectors including financial services, consumer goods, and healthcare. We advise on all aspects of their property portfolios, from high-profile strategic projects such as headquarters relocations to day-to-day estate management matters including licences, lease renewals, acquisitions, and more.
Role and key responsibilities
This is a client-facing, hands-on role within our Global Estate Management team. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, taking ownership of matters from instruction through to completion. The role primarily involves supporting our Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) occupier clients in managing their global real estate portfolios. This includes handling business-as-usual (BAU) transactional documents, responding to day-to-day property queries, and coordinating with both international law firms and client stakeholders.
You will report directly to a Senior Legal Manager and, on occasion, to the Senior Leeds Office Partner. You will also receive supervision and support from other members of
the paralegal team, including the Senior Paralegal.
As a Global Estate Management Paralegal, your responsibilities will include:
• Managing a high volume of fast-paced real estate transactions from instruction through to completion, with autonomy over your own caseload.
• Ensuring compliance with client-specific key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, supporting both transactional delivery and relationship management, including contributing to regular client reporting (weekly/monthly updates).
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of real estate documents, including leases, lease renewals, surrenders, licences, and other estate management agreements.
• Conducting title reviews, analysing search results, and reporting on legal risks and negotiated documents.
• Supporting post-completion processes such as SDLT submissions, Companies House filings, and Land Registry applications.
• Leveraging legal technology platforms to manage workflows, document automation, and client extranets.
• Maintaining and improving standard operating procedures for global estate management, including providing feedback on process efficiency and consistency.
• Coordinating and managing multi-jurisdictional matters across clients’ international property portfolios, liaising with local counsel and internal stakeholders.
• Supporting knowledge sharing and training initiatives within the team, including mentoring junior paralegals where appropriate.
• Assisting with data collation and reporting for client audits, compliance checks, and portfolio reviews. Contributing to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives, including the development of legal tech tools and process automation.
Skills and experience
We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual who brings a combination of legal knowledge, practical experience, and a client-focused mindset. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
Experience & Qualifications:
• Previous paralegal experience in a professional office environment is essential; experience within a real estate team is desirable but not required.
• Strong academic background.
• Completion of the Legal Practice Course (LPC) is preferred but not essential.
Skills & Competencies:
• Proven ability to manage your own caseload and meet deadlines effectively.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.• Confident and professional when engaging with clients and international stakeholders, including over the phone.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with legal technology and document management systems is an advantage.
• Experience with project management is desirable but not essential.
Personal Attributes:
• A proactive, “can-do” attitude and a strong team ethic.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work well under pressure.
• Resilient and flexible in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Committed to delivering exceptional client service at all times.
