Role Description
This is a full-time opportunity for a Paralegal at Teacher Stern LLP within our Employment & Immigration team and is fixed term for one year. The Immigration Paralegal will be responsible for assisting with a variety of immigration issues, preparing legal documents, and managing visa applications. Day-to-day tasks will include conducting legal research, liaising with clients, and supporting lawyers in their practice. Some support on employment matters may also be required, including bundle preparation. The successful candidate will need to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently on assigned tasks. Once established this role will be primarily office based but will be open to hybrid working.
Qualifications
· Skills in legal document preparation
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong research skills
· Experience in document review
· Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively
· Familiarity with legal procedures and terminology
· Bachelor’s degree in law or related field
· One year's prior experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal gained within a corporate or transactional legal specialism is preferred.
· Experience with immigration issues and visa applications is desirable
· Experience dealing with or working within the Home Office would be preferred.
