The Fraud Team at DWF is seeking a motivated paralegal with expertise in motor claims to join our dynamic team in Manchester or Birmingham. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, handling complex fraud and motor litigation cases for a wide variety of clients. The successful candidates will manage a caseload of Fraud & motor claims.
The position offers the flexibility of hybrid working, with the expectation to be in either office one to two days per week.
Responsibilities
- Managing a diverse caseload of fraud motor cases, from inception to resolution
- Conducting thorough investigations, including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses
- Maintain accurate records and case files using the firm’s case management system.
- Liaise with clients and external parties, providing updates and ensuring case progression.
- Review and assess motor insurance claims, identifying potential fraud indicators.
- Collaborate with clients, insurers, and other parties to obtain necessary evidence and documentation.
- Researching to support legal strategies and case development
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential
- Previous paralegal experience in fraud or motor insurance claims is essential.
- Strong knowledge of the UK legal system and civil litigation process
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
Desirable
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and using case management software.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
