Paralegal (Qualification Potential)

Rutherford has been mandated by a leading Hedge Fund in search of a Paralegal to join their legal team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside a highly experienced team in a fast-paced hedge fund environment. The ideal candidate will support a range of legal and regulatory functions, with a particular focus on general corporate, regulatory, derivatives and fund formation responsibilities. Responsibilities:

• Manage and update the firm's legal documents while overseeing the document management system
• Review and provide summaries of key contractual agreements, such as NDAs, confidentiality agreements, side letters and terms of business.
• Assess and summarise documentation related to investment transactions.
• Coordinate the preparation and distribution of materials for quarterly board and committee meetings, including drafting meeting minutes.
• Take ownership of customer due diligence processes and manage the onboarding of new clients.
• Ensure the timely preparation and filing of regulatory documents with agencies like the FCA, SEC and other relevant regulatory bodies.

Background:

• 1+ years of experience as a paralegal in a leading UK or US law firm, or within an in-house legal team in an investment management firm.
• Strong academic credentials from a well-regarded university.
