Introduction
As a Parenting Practitioner, you’ll deliver evidence-based parenting programmes, through group work or one-to-one intervention, you will work collaboratively with families to develop practical strategies and promote positive parenting. You’ll play a key role in strengthening family relationships, building resilience and improving outcomes for children and young people.
What’s the role?
Delivery of parenting programmes and surgeries to vulnerable families, through the delivery of focused groups or 1:1 work; this could be in the Family Hubs, in the family home and in the wider community. This includes but is not limited to Triple P, Reducing parental conflict, Domestic abuse recovery programmes and post natal groups.
The post holder will work independently and/or in collaboration with colleagues in Family Hubs and other agencies.
The post holder will also assess families needs for the appropriate parenting intervention, follow the referral pathways for support.

- Ability to engage with diverse communities and tailor support to individual needs
- Relevant qualifications in early years, childcare, social care, education, or family support (desirable)
Location
The job is primarily based in Lewisham Family Hubs.
Special conditions
- Weekend working is required for this job
- The job is subject to an enhanced DBS check

Salary
£36,345 - £37,437 per annum (SC6)
N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP6) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
