About The Role
We're looking for an experienced and strategic communications professional to take the lead on developing and delivering a Partner communication strategy at St. James’s Place. In this pivotal role, you’ll shape and implement compelling communication and engagement approaches that support our business objectives and enhance the Partner experience. You'll work at a strategic level across central and divisional teams to embed a consistent and impactful communication culture across the Partnership.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and lead the implementation of a cohesive communication strategy across Partner-facing teams and channels.
- Advise and influence senior leaders to align communication activity with business priorities and initiatives.
- Shape narratives and messaging for key programmes that support organisational goals and Partner engagement.
- Use insights and data to design targeted and effective communication and engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with central and divisional teams to integrate communication into broader engagement efforts.
- Lead cross-functional teams (internal and external) to deliver complex communication projects.
- Promote best practice, set standards, and improve the quality and consistency of Partner communications.
- Develop leadership engagement frameworks and support leader-led communications.
- Manage a £150k communication budget and ensure compliance with governance standards.
- Drive innovation in communication strategy and execution across the business.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a confident and experienced communicator with a strategic approach and a strong background in internal and Partner communications—ideally within financial services. You’ll be highly skilled at influencing senior stakeholders, shaping compelling narratives, and running complex communications in a matrix environment. You’ll bring curiosity, resilience, and the ability to challenge and innovate as we evolve the way we engage our Partner audience.
Essential
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and networking experience at a senior level
- Experience of working in the Financial Services/Wealth Management sector
- Experience of leveraging resource and skills from across a matrix organisation
- Experience of developing communications strategies and messaging, and writing engaging copy/content
Desirable
- Experience of working in a B2B2C, franchise or affinity-based organisation
- Communications and/or Marketing background
