Job Purpose
- To work as part of the mobile support team to supervise the completion of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance to a multi-skilled mobile engineering team, requirements on Fire Compartmentation.
- Reporting to the Fire Compartment Manager, overseeing a Fire Compartmentation.
Aims and Objectives
- To focus on the expected team behaviours for achieving significant results and outcomes for the business, helping Dalkia EDF to maintain its leading-edge status within the industry and the reputation with its customers.
- To achieve customer satisfaction within agreed service levels with the client.
- Achieve PPM and Reactive targets and deadlines, both personally and through the supervision of sub-contractors and manage the interface between technician CCSC supporting the appropriate and effective management of work scheduling and completion.
- To continually review workload, focus on project management from enquiry to completion, with individual development.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), including reactive maintenance and extra works/emergencies in accordance with the contract requirements on Passive Fire Compartmentation.
- Support with delivery of project works and minor projects.
- Provide detailed reporting with predictive times for remedial and chargeable works, and life cycle condition reporting.
- Ensuring at all times that service reports/timesheets are submitted timely and the management of such records is compliant with the company’s agreed policy and ways of working.
- Be a key interface with Facilities Maintenance Clients including working closely with Dalkia EDF Facility and contract managers.
- Ensure a high level of technical support in the provision of our service delivery and the daily communication with our clients.
- Carry out PPM in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of Hard FM systems.
- Ensure adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements and industry standards.
- Ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to by Technicians in all respects and to maintain accurate records/documentation associated with the Passive Fire aspects of the PPM and plant.
- Manage the prompt and effective response to all reactive maintenance issues and helpdesk requests.
- Support with management of visiting specialist sub-contractors associated with the Fire Compartmentation aspects of the PPM schedules.
- Provide information to the Estimators regarding quotation in response to remedial works required or extra works.
- Be responsible for ensuring their competency remains at industry standard at all times.
- Manage in conjunction with the Helpdesk the Passive Fire aspects of the contract as required.
- Attend meetings as required and provide a technical interface with the SMH on site.
- Management of company resources including consumables, equipment and fleet.
- Manage the productivity and performance.
- Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be requested by Dalkia EDF senior management.

Person SpecificationQualifications, Experience, Knowledge and SkillsEssential
- NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection or recognised equivalent.
- Knowledge of Bolster electronic management system or equivalent.
- Desirable Knowledge within BS476
- Demonstrable Managerial/Supervisory Experience
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, regulations and drawings
- Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experienced in production of quotations for minor works and repairs
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience of working on Fire Doors and Fire Compartmentation to 3rd Party accreditation
Desirable
- A qualification related to a Passive Fire trade
- Experience in Fire Damper Inspections and Installation
- An understanding and knowledge of Building Standards
- Previous experience within a Facilities Management/Maintenance environment.
- Health and Safety Training
- Familiar with CAFM systems
- IOSH or NEBOSCH qualified
- Experience in Computer Aided Facility Management Systems CAFM (e.g. Concept)
