Description
Professional Responsibilities: Ensure Pathology maintains compliance with regulations, guidelines, standards, etc, pertaining to the quality agenda. Ensure own compliance with Professional standards and codes of conduct in relation to the quality agenda. Support departmental managers who are responsible for ensuring departmental Quality Leads are compliant with Professional standards and codes of conduct in relation to the quality agenda. Participate in staff annual review, for themselves and contributing on other members of staff at the request of the Quality Manager or Senior Management Team.
Directly responsible for advising the Pathology Senior Team on any applicable quality management service issues. Will occasionally advise the Trust Board on quality issues as required. To liaise with a range of staff including both medical and technical pathology staff, governance staff and quality management staff across both Trusts.
