Payables & Receivables Officer

We are currently partnering with a public sector organisation, who are recruiting for a Payables and Receivables Officer to join their team on a one-month temporary basis, with a strong possibility of extension.

This is a full-time position based in South Manchester and offering hybrid working of 2-3 days working from home. The hourly rate is £14.84 PAYE, the start date is as soon as possible.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Logging and processing invoices and credit notes, ensuring correct VAT coding
• Posting all cash relating to the accounts payable function, ensuring the CIS legislation is complied with
• Managing invoices in query and work to reduce these as far as possible
• Matching invoices to POs and preparing weekly BACS payment
• Assisting with maintaining the Accounts Payable and Receivable ledgers
• Liaising with internal colleagues for tenant queries
• Processing sales ledger cash, intercompany and sales invoices
• Answering queries from the shared Accounts Receivable inbox within the SLA timescale

Experience required:

• Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
