Payroll Lead
With over 50 years’ experience in the logistics industry McCulla Ireland are one of the country’s leading providers of ambient, chilled and frozen logistics solutions throughout Ireland, the United Kingdom and Europe.
We currently have Operating Centres across Northern Ireland and Ireland, with further plans for expansion. McCulla has over 300 employees working across our Transport, Warehousing, Customs and Green Bioenergy Operations. There is an ever-growing modern fleet consisting of over 120 vehicles and 200 trailers operating our just in time service with environmental sustainability at the forefront of everything we do and making us unique in the market for our customers.
The Person
We are recruiting for a Payroll Lead to join our team and who will report into the Senior Management Team. This role will require a professional individual who is highly organised, with great attention to detail and has experience of working in a payroll department.
Duties
About The Role
- Responsible for completing and processing weekly and monthly payrolls within the deadlines.
- Experience of processing new starters, leavers, P45, P60, pensions, auto enrolments, student loans, SSP etc
- Overseeing the payment of taxes to HMRC and take the lead on all HMRC guidelines relevant to the payroll department.
- Review and use payroll reports to continually improve payroll processes.
- Collate payroll related information and ensure records are accurate and complete.
- Issue all relevant information to tax office and manage all related queries.
- Continually maintain and update databases and spreadsheets for month-end; and - Provide information and essential assistance during audits.
- Other duties relevant to the finance department as required.
Criteria
- All applicants must be proficient working with computerised payroll systems and have a proficiency working with MS Excel.
- Suitable applicants must also have strong experience (minimum 2 years) working in in-house payroll processing.
- Knowledge of HMRC legislation.
- Comfortable communicating with all levels of business
Terms
- Full Time Permanent Role.
- Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Salary £38,000 - £42,000 DOE
