Rate: From £550/day (negotiable based on experience)

Project Duration: Long-term

We are seeking an experienced Principal Contractor Site Manager to lead the civil engineering package on a challenging National Grid substation build in Bristol. This is a high-profile infrastructure project requiring a proven leader with deep expertise in National Grid standards and procedures.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all site activities related to the civil engineering scope of the substation build.
• Ensure full compliance with National Grid safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, engineers, and client representatives to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Maintain site records, manage risk assessments, and lead daily briefings and toolbox talks.
• Act as the main point of contact for all site-related matters.
  
  

✅ Essential Requirements:

• Extensive experience managing civil engineering works on National Grid substation projects.
• Full National Grid PSCM SR163 authorisation, including:
  • NSI6 & NSI8 Competent Person
  • National Grid Person
  • National Grid HSG47
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
• First Aid at Work
• Environmental Awareness
• CCNSG Safety Passport
