Job Overview
A rare opportunity for a motivated individual with lived experience of the Criminal Justice System or prison custody. Do you want to work with psychologists and practitioners to support people on their recovery journey?
Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) seeks individuals with lived experience to join our Primary Care Mental Health Treatment Requirements (MHTR) teams in Surrey, Buckinghamshire, and Hampshire.
This application is for High Wycombe, with an option to base in Aylesbury.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to use their experience of prison and/or the CJS to help others accessing MHTR support. Peer support experience is desirable but not essential; what matters most is your ability to use personal experience to support others and your aspiration to do so within a supportive NHS team.
Training will be provided. Independent travel across the Guilford area is essential. Peer support is founded on the belief that no one is better placed to guide recovery than someone who has walked the same path.
We actively seek peers with lived experience of both CJS and health or social care needs, e.g., mental health or substance misuse.
