The Opportunity
We are looking for a People Administrator to join our HR team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support, ensuring smooth operations within the organisation.
This role is based at our Hinkley Point C site on the outskirts of Bridgwater, where you will be part of the People & Development Team assisting in the efficient and accurate delivery of the day-to-day administration and co-ordination of the Department in a fast-paced role within a growing Industrial Services team on site.
Key Responsibilities
How you will make an impact
- Ensure that the office operates efficiently which includes, incoming/outgoing HR absence calls.
- Book, administer & coordinate employee medicals in line with site requirements, ensuring that employees have the correct medical in place for their role, maintaining the tracking system, and booking expiring medicals to maintain compliance.
- Assist with site Onboarding & Security Vetting process, by chasing candidates for information and processing in line with site requirements alongside the Onboarding Coordinator on site where required.
- Process weekly starters and leavers in conjunction and issue relevant letters, maintaining this from a HR System and filing point of view.
- Administer HR-related documentation, including new starter pack and contracts of employment, ensuring that documents of personal records, right to work and equal opportunity are accurately maintained, maintaining E-Files accurately.
- Provide support with the wider HR team to ensure efficient delivery of HR Services to the business.
- Work alongside the Training & Onboarding Department to book new starts onto relevant mandatory training.
- Attend and document meetings
- Ensure minutes of meetings/information/communications are distributed to the relevant parties in a timely manner.
- Provide general secretarial support to the Operations Department and other on-site management.
- Time & Attendance - Allocations onto our QuickBase timesheet system of planned and unplanned absences on a daily basis. Maintain the QuickBase system.
- Maintain HR systems for employee lifecycle from absence, starters to leavers, processing leaver paperwork with the relevant departments.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
What you will bring
- Strong background in human resources and administrative experience desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with data entry and managing data systems desirable
- Competence in using Microsoft Outlook for effective communication essential
Please note that the successful candidate will need to undergo BPSS Security Clearance, where a full DBS check will be required in order to gain access to the site.
