The role
As a People Centre Note Taker, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Providing accurate, efficient and effective support to employees and line managers (customer) across all Babcock sites and for all stages of the employee lifecycle process. Working within an effective team where the highest of standards will be expected from both a technical and behavioural perspective, you will be providing note taking for meetings which forms a critical part of our Employee Relation processes.
Day-to-day, you’ll provide note taking services for internal Employee Relation meetings. Covering Grievances, Disciplinaries, Investigations and Sickness Reviews.
- Typing up notes and providing them to Employee Relation partners within a timely manner for review
- Collaborate with both the PeopleCentre and the HR Function to build good working relationships
- An understanding of employee legislation and confidentiality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with three days in the office and two days working from home.
Essential experience of the PeopleCentre Note Taker:
- Previous experience working in a similar HR role, transcription or note taking preferred
- Exposure to Employee Relations, with understanding of HR practices, procedures, policies and employment law
- Computer literate
- You will be diligent and a proactive team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to focus on multiple cases at any one time

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
