People & Culture Manager

We’re looking for a People & Culture Manager who will be a strategic partner in shaping our people practices, developing strong managers, and building an empowering culture where everyone can thrive.

As People & Culture Manager, you’ll be responsible for both HR fundamentals (recruitment, policy, employee lifecycle) and what sets this role apart — people development, management coaching, and capability building across the company. You’ll partner closely with leaders, helping them become better managers, enabling effective performance conversations, and shaping scalable people processes.

• Partner with leadership to define, shape and execute people strategy aligned to business goals.
• Champion a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.

• Coach and develop managers in key areas including performance management, feedback, delegation, conflict resolution, and career conversations.
• Embed practical people-management routines (e.g., effective 1:1s, goal setting, performance calibration).
• Design and implement internal programmes to elevate management capabilities.

• Build a structured learning and development approach tailored for our business and growth stage.
• Facilitate workshops, on-the-job learning, and curated training.
• Encourage continuous learning and skills growth across the organisation.

• Lead the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle: job ads, sourcing, interviewing, offers, and onboarding.

• Provide guidance on employment policies, contracts, performance, absence, and other HR processes.
• Support managers with employee relations and compliance, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
• Help maintain HR systems, people data integrity, and reporting.

• Support initiatives that build engagement, belonging, recognition, and team retention.
• Partner with leadership on workplace wellbeing programs.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about people and culture with the ability to balance strategy and execution.
• Has strong experience coaching managers — not just running training courses, but influencing behaviour change.
• Brings practical experience in recruitment, HR practices, and compliance in a UK context.

Desirable Qualifications

• CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience.
• HR, L&D, or coaching certification a plus.
