An exciting opportunity is now available to join our UK HR team to provide a first-class, responsive and proactive generalist HR service to our business.
Reporting to the Head of People in the UK, you’ll be acting as the key HR contact for senior leadership, managers and employees, for your dedicated client group. Understanding the business, the people challenges and opportunities will be key to your success in this role as it will enable you to provide pragmatic solutions to meet business goals and needs. You’ll be working closely with managers to pre-empt operational requirements and proactively develop solutions for their various challenges.
As an HR People Partner, you’ll be working across a variety of different projects and no two days will be the same. In one morning, you could be supporting managers on ER issues, preparing reports for leadership meetings, in another developing clear strategies in supporting our global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion ambitions.

- Ideally you will be CIPD qualified
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

People Partner:
- Acts as an integral part of the business by building strong professional relationships with the Senior Leadership Team and line managers, advising them on all people-related activities, including resourcing, performance management, and change management.
- Influences and drives organisational change by developing clear strategies that link HR policies to business objectives.
- Work closely with the leadership team on all aspects of people operations, including systems support, performance management and handling of promotions.
- Monitor the quality of services delivered (i.e. timeliness, accuracy, efficiency and responsiveness) and take prompt, corrective action in any cases of dissatisfaction or issues with delivery
- Lead business change initiatives, i.e. TUPE, restructures, redundancies.
- Support development & implementation of people policies.
Recruitment & Retention:
- Partnering with the Recruitment Manager to develop, manage and provide advice on recruitment strategies and procedures to hiring managers for both internal and external recruitment.
- Ensuring that our recruitment practices are aligned with our diversity, equity and inclusion ambitions.
Employee Relations:
- Supports managers by providing comprehensive and consistent advice on employee relations issues.
- Provides information and advice on the interpretation of company policies in line with local legislation, including disciplinary, grievance and appeal issues.
- Proactively works with managers in improving performance management processes by developing managers’ competence and confidence in dealing with people issues.
- Promotes a culture of employee engagement and communication.
Other Responsibilities:
- Work on ad hoc projects as required.
- Keeps abreast of all legislative changes and identifies any potential impact on the internal policies, procedures and processes.
Skills / Experience / Knowledge / Minimum Criteria

The successful candidate will need to have the following:
- Previous relevant experience in a generalist role, understanding of a matrixed environment is beneficial.
- Sound knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice.
- Subject matter knowledge of DEI trends and best practice.
- Experience of supporting the business with talent-mapping and succession planning.
- Proficiency in interpreting financial metrics and key performance indicators.
- Ability to build credibility and influence at all levels throughout the organisation.
