Performance and Operational Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Performance and Operational Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic reporting across the business. You will work closely with budget holders, senior management, and the UK Board of Directors to deliver insightful analysis and performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Variance Analysis

• Manage monthly accruals and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Conduct monthly variance analysis and report discrepancies to budget holders
• Deliver monthly management information reports to the Head of Department
• Provide ad-hoc financial reporting as required

Business Reporting

• Prepare and present reports for annual UK Board of Directors meetings
• Coordinate quarterly business reviews and consolidate management input
• Support budget holders in developing detailed business plans aligned with company goals
• Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual operational performance reports, including KPI analysis
• Produce ad-hoc reports to support strategic decision-making

Qualifications & Attributes

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or ACCA/CIMA part-qualified
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial management, ideally within the oil industry or a service-oriented environment
• Strong experience with OpEx and CapEx
• Familiarity with IFRS and IFRS 16 (desirable)
• Proficient in MS Office Suite; SAP S/4 Hana experience is a plus
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
