About Network Rail
At Network Rail, our mission is to connect people and goods safely, efficiently, and sustainably. As we enter Control Period 7 (CP7), our Anglia Route Maintenance Team is delivering a major programme of infrastructure upgrades—from modernising signalling systems and enhancing station accessibility to improving safety at level crossings and supporting greener freight. We operate across three delivery units in
Romford, Tottenham, and Ipswich , covering a wide range of disciplines including
Track, Welding and Grinding, Off Track, Signalling & Telecoms (S&T), Electrification & Plant (E&P), and Drainage & Pumps (D&P) . Our Maintenance teams are responsible for the
day-to-day upkeep of the network , ensuring that critical infrastructure—like signals, power supplies, tracks, and bridges—is safe, reliable, and performing at its best.
“
CP7 brings exciting opportunities to deliver a railway for Anglia that is better, simpler and greener. Collaboration and teamwork will be a key component of our success, so we'll need to build on our strong partnerships with train and freight operators, stakeholders and supply chain colleagues. Together, we're more than up to the challenge. I look forward to working with you over the coming years.” –
