A unique opportunity exists for an exceptional candidate to join our Flight Operations Performance Engineering Team, working with one of the largest and best-known airlines in the world.
Joining us a Flight Operations Performance Engineering Manager, based at our London Stansted Airport offices, safety, regulatory compliance, and business efficiency will be at the heart of everything that you do.
Reporting to the Head of Performance – Group and working on a shift basis, your responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for accuracy of digital aircraft performance and weight & balance data in company Electronic Flight Bags.
- Maintaining oversight of company navigation databases, aeronautical chart subscriptions and avionics databases liaising with third party vendors as required.
- Oversight of company Aircraft Performance Monitoring program
- Participating in and leading company Flight Operations projects optimising operational efficiency, fuel efficiency and safety
- Oversight of departmental regulatory compliance
- Back-office maintenance of Flight Planning system including fleet MEL
- New Route, Airport, and Area assessments.

Requirements
Essential
- Aeronautical Engineering degree (or equivalent)
- Candidates will have a minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar position within an airline flight operations environment and will have built requisite knowledge in areas of Aircraft Performance and Flight Efficiency, Aircraft Weight and Balance, and Navigation and Flight Planning.
- Expert knowledge of Airbus performance and weight & balance principles supported by manufacturer qualifications (with equivalent Boeing knowledge an advantage)
- Deep working knowledge of EASA regulations and their application.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills whilst being comfortable interacting with a highly qualified pilot workforce on technical matters
About You
- You will be a highly motivated individual who can maintain high technical and safety standards in a pressurised commercial environment.
- Have experience in leading Flight Operations technical projects
- Strong attention to detail in multi-tasking situations and the ability to deliver results to tight timelines.
- Computer literate, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Software
