There is an exciting opportunity to join us in a role that is vital to our success. We are looking for a Performance Improvement Co-Ordinator to join our team.

At East Coast Route , we’re looking for a Performance Improvement Co-ordinator to play a central role in driving train service reliability and performance. Working across the whole railway system model, you’ll support a wide range of improvement initiatives - helping teams deliver better outcomes for passengers and colleagues alike.

About The Role (External)
Role and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Your role will focus on enabling performance improvements by supporting governance, strategy, and system-wide collaboration. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Implementing National Frameworks
- Delivering Performance Plans Coordinate and contribute to performance improvement plans based on emerging performance needs of the route, prioritising projects with the greatest value for Network Rail and industry partners.
- Collaborating Across the Route and Industry Liaise with delivery units, local teams, and operators to support performance projects, helping to drive actions, manage risk and ensure delivery.
- Supporting Business Cases Provide input into business case and proposal development for performance initiatives.
- Providing a Single Point of Contact Act as the primary liaison for route-wide performance projects during implementation.
- Performance Governance Support Assist with performance governance activities, including taking minutes at key meetings, tracking follow-up actions, providing reporting outputs, and ensuring clarity and accountability in decision-making and project delivery.
- Strategic Oversight of Incident Learning Reviews and Enabling Cross-Learning Provide governance and strategic oversight of Incident Learning Reviews, ensuring that insights and recommendations are captured, prioritised, and embedded across the route. This role focuses on the longer-term, systemic outcomes of incident learning - driving sustained performance improvement, rather than short-term operational fixes.
We're looking for someone who can bring:
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- An appreciation of working in the whole-system model to improve performance
- Confident project management support capabilities
- Clear and effective communication
- Influencing and stakeholder engagement skills to drive actions and help facilitate delivery of solutions
- A thoughtful, data-informed approach to identifying issues and solutions

Salary and benefits:
- Salary of £35,582-£40,830 (Band 4B) depending on skills, qualifications and experience
