Description
As a Paid Search Marketing specialist, this role encompasses planning executing, measuring, auditing, experimenting (bidding, elasticity tests) as well as identifying opportunities to scale and grow the channel efficiently. In this position, you will demonstrate a detailed understanding of digital marketing (SEM in particular) and understand the relationship between ad spend and application targets. The role requires a highly analytical mindset as well as a curiosity to seek out new possibilities. You are strong at the analytical and technical side of marketing, as well as the creative and experimental side, consistently using one to inform the other. In this role, you are the single point of contact for specific areas of the business and the search team's expert for that product line, gathering insights and applying learnings to additional lines of business.
Key job responsibilities
Hands-on technical expertise: Lead paid search initiatives including budgeting, forecasting, testing & learning roadmaps, and measurement plans.
Optimization through collaboration: Partner with digital marketing team members, other Amazon teams, and platform partners to monitor and optimize campaigns on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Continuous inspection: Perform in-platform audits, strategies, optimizations, and approaches that will lead to the best-in-class execution, optimal results for our customers and other team members.
Tool and tech enhancements expert: Master proprietary technology platforms to drive improvement across automated marketing initiatives. Partner with Science and Technology teams to build out high impact capabilities.
Effective Budget Management: Leverage data-based decisions and deep in-channel analysis to ensure campaigns are cost-effective, allocating resources effectively across campaigns and channels to maximize ROI.
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Implement sophisticated CRO techniques, including multivariate and split testing, to improve landing page performance and funnel conversions.
Drive the right results: Define, align, and regularly refine goals and KPIs to achieve marketing objectives, with an emphasis on iterative improvement.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Regularly analyze data, prepare reports, and provide insights to measure the effectiveness of campaigns. Present results and insights to partners, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
A day in the life
Your day begins by reviewing channel performance, setting individual and team goals, and devising plans to enhance key metrics. Throughout the day, you'll work closely with your team, providing guidance and feedback on activate and upcoming campaigns. You’re frequently called upon to analyze real-time data, and adeptly communicate complex marketing concepts. You navigate multiple reporting processes, evaluating results of testing and campaigns daily/weekly/monthly, preparing insights and recommendations via dashboards, written reports, and presentations. You’re continuously balancing analytical acumen with effective communication, ensuring that the entire organization is aligned and empowered to deliver on short term goals without sacrificing the longer-term vision. Additionally, you balance weekly tasks with long term strategic thinking, taking time each day to ideate on testing ideas to help shape the team’s direction. As part of our 5-day in-office model, you lead collaboration sessions, brainstorm in huddles, strengthen connections though networking, and utilize onsite facilities.

Basic Qualifications
- Several years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Demonstrated experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Proven track record of building and optimizing multiple, simultaneous marketing campaigns
- Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in multi-territory campaign management
- Experience managing Paid Search representative relationships
- Demonstrated success in optimizing Paid Search performance across international markets
- Advanced skills in Excel or Tableau for analyzing recruitment marketing data and creating performance dashboards
- Knowledge of recruitment marketing best practices and Paid Search optimization techniques
- Background in recruitment marketing or talent acquisition
