Description
Please note that Capability Scotland are not the employer, but acting on behalf of our client, who is the legal employer.
I am a lady in my late 60's who has several long-term health conditions and lives near the centre of Langholm. My husband is my main carer but, due to his deteriorating health, requires increasing support to help look after me.
Areas of work would include cleaning, laundry, checking that I am ok and making me hot drinks/light lunch. Help is most needed each weekday from 9am to 1pm. Weekly support will be provided by 3 people, one working 12 hours, one 8 hours, and a relief post (covering holidays, sickness, etc). Experience isn't essential for any of these posts. The ideal candidates would be reliable, caring, patient, flexible, able to work on their own initiative and understand the need for confidentiality.
Due to our health, I would prefer candidates who have had Covid vaccinations and are willing to get boosters and take regular lateral flow (Covid) tests.
Females only need apply as permitted under schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act 2010
If you are successful you will need to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK
You will be asked to provide the names of two referees.
You will need to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Group (PVG) scheme. If you are not already a member, I can advise you how to apply. Any offer of employment is subject to a satisfactory PVG check being received.
"Please note that we are currently unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role."
