Salary: £40,497 to £48,149 pro rata

If so, we’d love to welcome you to our vibrant university community as a Student Counsellor within the Counselling team of our Student Wellbeing Service.
Responsibilities
In this exciting fixed-term role, you’ll be at the heart of our efforts to help students thrive. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload and providing assessments
- Delivering a range of therapeutic and psychological support interventions
- Making appropriate referrals to internal services and external partners, including local organisations and statutory services. (i.e. for longer-term or more specialist support)
To succeed in the role, you will be a qualified and experienced mental health professional, with excellent communication skills. You should be a strong team player with the flexibility and drive to adapt your service delivery to meet student demand. You should be creative and proactive in delivering support and will be prepared to contribute to the wider student wellbeing agenda.

Please note that this role is for 22.5 hours (three days) per week, providing maternity cover for 12 months.
