Physiotherapy Technician
Location: Fitzwilliam Hospital, Peterborough
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full-time, 5 days per week, with some weekend work)
About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapy Technician to join our friendly and dynamic team at Fitzwilliam Hospital. This varied position combines clinical and administrative duties across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting physiotherapists on the ward with orthopaedic patients.
- Assisting in post-operative rehabilitation classes.
- Supporting physiotherapy pre-assessment clinics.
- Carrying out administrative duties to support the team.
This role is ideal for someone with experience as a therapy assistant or in a hospital/caring rehabilitation environment, and is perfect for those wishing to broaden their skills or progress towards becoming a Physiotherapist in the future.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a therapy assistant or healthcare rehabilitation role (essential).
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent customer service abilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing business needs.
- Good physical health for safe moving and handling of patients and equipment.
Training & Development
- Structured in-service training programme.
- Regular clinical supervision and mentoring.
- Peer group support.
- Support for candidates wishing to follow the apprenticeship route into physiotherapy.
