Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Manager

The Asset Management section within Estates Division are seeking a dynamic and experienced Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Manager to join our Asset Management team within the Estates Division. This is a pivotal role responsible for the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of maintenance strategies across a diverse estate of over 370 buildings, covering 723,000 square metres and valued at £3.4 billion.

What you'll do:

As PPM Manager, you will:

• Develop and deliver a robust PPM strategy using the Invida maintenance management system.
• Lead a team of coordinators and manage external contractors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Oversee an annual budget of £8 million, ensuring cost-effective and compliant maintenance operations.
• Collaborate with academic departments and Estates colleagues to minimise disruption and align with strategic goals.
• Drive compliance, risk mitigation, and business continuity through proactive asset management.

About you:

In order to succeed in this role, you will join us with

• Proven experience in facilities or estates management, ideally within the education sector.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Expertise in maintenance management systems (Invida or similar).
• Knowledge of statutory compliance, health and safety, and sustainability standards.
• Relevant qualifications in Building Services, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
