Wood is currently recruiting for a Planner/Scheduler to work at Clients offices in Aberdeen, Scotland on a 12-month fixed term contract. 4 days in the office is required with 1 day (Friday) working from home.
The Role
The Asset Planner & Scheduler is an integral part of the Asset team and plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all asset work activity aligns with asset integrity and production objectives. The role, which reports to the Planning & Scheduling Leader/ Asset Onshore Superintendent is based onshore within the direct Asset Support team.

Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
Responsibilities Include
- Leading the development and management of an achievable work schedule that aligns with asset priorities and reflects resource availability in accordance with company processes and procedures.
- Close collaboration with Maintenance Delivery, Asset Support, Engineering and Planning departments to ensure that asset work plan (90-day and 28-day) preparation is compliant with the company Integrated Activity Planning (IAP) process and Maintenance and Scheduling Processes.
- Creation and maintenance of the Integrated Activity Plan (IAP) from 28 Day to 2 Year windows integrating work scopes from Operations and Maintenance, Major Projects, Drilling, Interventions, Fabric Maintenance/Integrity and any 3rd party contractors in line with both asset priorities and strategies.
- Assisting asset management and support engineers with all planning matters and developing individual project plans as required.
You Will
Coordinate and manage the activities of the asset production and maintenance departments. Activities include the management of, and require knowledge of, the following:
- Undertaking Work Order Scheduling as prescribed processes and procedures from inception to execution.
- Ensuring efficient scheduling and close out of work orders by the offshore operations/maintenance teams.
- Monitor backlog daily and conduct a 28 day look ahead to initiate SCMC or Business Critical Re-prioritisation processes.
- Chair the daily scheduling meetings.
- Chair the weekly schedule review meetings.
- Undertaking quality control checks of SAP notifications and work orders through complete lifecycle and reporting.
- Provide support for asset Turnaround (TAR) scheduling activities.
- Ensure work orders noted in the equipment out of service register are scheduled as required.
- Assist in the identification of opportune shutdown register work orders as required and schedule as required.
Create And Maintain The Asset Integrated Activity Plan (IAP) From 28 Day To 2 Year Windows. Activities Include The Management Of, And Require Knowledge Of, The Following
- Develop and maintain the Integrated Activity Plan in order to produce Strategic, 6Q, 90 Day and 28 Day versions of the plan at the appropriate level of detail.
- Develop and maintain the Personnel On Board (POB) forecast at strategic, 6Q, 90 day and 28 day timeframes.
- Creation and maintenance of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to ensure reporting structures are in line with management requirements and interface with cost reporting and control structures.
- Ensure that all activities entering the Integrated Asset Plan have been assessed and approved by the appropriate gatekeeper and appropriate gate criteria is met.
- Work with the relevant gatekeeper to ensure that the priority given to each planned activity is assessed, assigned and communicated to the asset teams.
- Work directly with the various functions to ensure that individual functional plans are integrated as required
- Co-ordinate the processing of Plan Entry Forms (PEF’s) for each asset.
- Liaise with the logistics team to ensure alignment of the Integrated Asset Plan with helicopter and supply boat schedules.
- Ensure that plan owners of each line item are clearly identified and populated on the plan
- Develop one-off ad-hoc project plans in support of the asset teams.
- Work with the asset leadership team to ensure alignment of the Integrated Asset Plan and the budget process by actively participating in annual Work Plan and Budget (WP&B) process

- Ensure continued compliance with UK Management System (UKMS) relevant processes and procedures relating to IAP and scheduling, Work Order end to end lifecycle, SCEF and Safety Critical Maintenance Compliance.

Knowledge, Skills, And Experience
- Appropriate level of experience within the oil and gas industry preferably gained within the offshore production operations environment.
- Experience in asset and operations planning through different timeframes.
- Working knowledge and proven abilities with Primavera P6.
- Proven competency in collaborating with other disciplines, functions, and key sub-contractors to support operational deliveries.
- Experience / understanding of planning & scheduling work activities to meet resource levels and asset priorities.
- High level of SAP PM / CMMS skills, experience and understanding.
- Demonstrable strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Demonstrable experience of adapting to /dealing with change and the coordination of multi-function/discipline teams.
- Ability to work using initiative and with minimum supervisory direction.
At a Minimum, You Have
- Relevant technical qualification (C&G, ONC, HNC+).
- Industry/company recognised training in SAP PM module.
- Industry/company recognised training in Primavera P6.
