About This Opportunity
Cumberland Council is seeking to appoint a dedicated Planning Officer � Minerals and Waste to join their planning team. You will assess minerals and waste planning applications, monitor compliance with planning conditions and contribute to the development of minerals and waste polices. The role offers a great opportunity to shape sustainable development and economic growth across Cumberland.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and process minerals and waste planning applications in line with local planning policies.
- Provide expert advice on minerals and waste planning
- Build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other regulators and environmental organisations as well as the industry and local communities.
- Assist in preparation and review of mineral and waste planning policies.
- Respond to planning inquiries, appeals and preparing documents to present evidence where required.
