Job Purpose
Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Engineer and functionally to the Department Production Manager, the Plant Improvement Engineer will work as a part of the maintenance department to implement and maintain engineered solutions for our production teams, to achieve measurable increase in plant safety, availability, performance and reliability.

Your responsibilities:
- Support the drive to develop and implement best-practice engineering and process safety standards across the business
- Work in conjunction with the Senior Maintenance Engineer and Production Manager to highlight key areas for engineering and EHS improvement
- Find innovative solutions and deliver improvement projects to improve the safety, functionality, efficiency and reliability of the plant.
- Analyse data sourced from OEE, CMMS and asset reliability programmes, to identify key areas for engineering improvement
- Utilise Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to systematically identify root causes of downtime, inefficiency and waste to drive OEE improvements
- Use Management of Change (MOC) to ensure engineering modifications are delivered safely and in compliance with engineering standards and site procedures
Requirements for the role:
- BEng degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline, preferably with a chemicals or mechanical bias
- Experience managing projects
- Proficiency in use of MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Understanding of plant reliability studies.
- Competent with computerised systems and some knowledge of engineering software packages
- Knowledge of Permit to Work systems and control of works
