Salary: £29,000 to £33,000 + On Call Payment

Here’s how you’ll power our business as a Site Engineer

We’re looking for a hands-on Site Engineer to join our team at FMG Flint. In this key role, you’ll help keep our site running smoothly and safely by managing plant maintenance systems, supporting site projects, and carrying out essential mechanical repairs. You’ll work closely with the Facilities Manager to deliver planned maintenance, fault find efficiently, and ensure we always stay on top of compliance and safety. With a proactive, can-do attitude, you’ll be a crucial part of our operations—ready to solve problems, maintain spare stock levels, and step in when needed, including out-of-hours support. This role covers both our Flint and Cannock sites, so flexibility and a strong team spirit are a must.

What we need from you

• Organised with excellent attention to detail
• Able to prioritise and act on own initiative while meeting deadlines
• Strong team player who works effectively with colleagues and customers
• Good IT skills, particularly proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Mechanical Engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
• Full UK driving licence
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Solid understanding of plant maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Skilled in fault finding across various systems
• Knowledge of pressure systems management and Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR)
• Experience with compressed gases or other high hazard industries
