Job Type: Ongoing Contract

Location: Islington

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Salary: £22.00 - £23.00 per hour

We're looking for an experienced Plasterer to join a local social housing provider in Islington. This role offers the chance to work within a trusted repairs and maintenance team delivering essential plastering repairs to social housing properties, with the opportunity to secure permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out plastering repairs including removing damaged plasterboard, re-boarding, and full skimming of walls and ceilings.
  • Perform patch repairs and minor decorating tasks such as painting.
  • Use a PDA device to receive jobs, record work completed, and update maintenance records accurately.
  • Engage professionally and courteously with tenants, ensuring excellent customer service and minimising disruption.
  • Work efficiently within occupied and void social housing properties, maintaining high quality and tenant satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 6 points or a driving ban within the last 3 years)
  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plastering (desirable)
  • Basic Criminal Record Check
