Purpose of the Role

Wipro are looking for a Kubernetes Platform Engineer to work in the UK. The successful candidate should have strong experience with kubernetes. This role will be based in Wokingham and will be offered on a Fixed term contract basis

We’re looking for someone who can join our clients thriving technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing, enhancing, improving and maintaining the Kubernetes platform. The suitable candidates will have hands-on experience with installing, troubleshooting Kubernetes platforms and experience with Kubernetes application deployments

• Re-creation, analysis, troubleshooting and diagnosis of incidents
• Work collaboratively in a team environment
• Build and configure delivery environments supporting CD/CI tools

What we’re looking for:

• Re-creation, analysis, troubleshooting and diagnosis of incidents
• Work collaboratively in a team environment
• Build and configure delivery environments supporting CD/CI tools
• Create scripts and/or templates to automate and/or bootstrap infrastructure provisioning and management tasks
• Work together with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Monitor and support all installed systems and infrastructure
• Resolving incoming platform and pipeline support tickets
• Developer enablement and support, conducting hand-over sessions with developers
• Participate in ongoing maintenance of process improvements

What you will bring:

• Hands-on experience with installing, troubleshooting Kubernetes platforms and Kubernetes application deployments
• Experience with YAML pipelines, CICD pipelines Tekton, Argo CD
• Strong scripting skills, including shell scripts, Bash, Python
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal forms
• Ability to work and learn in a remote team environment
• Understanding of Linux (Red Hat) and Kubernetes/OpenShift environments
• Experience with monitoring, logging tools solutions preferably Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Loki, EFK stack
• Experience with Kustomize, Helm or other templating solutions
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
• System analysis skills for IT troubleshooting
• Must be capable of identifying and researching technology-related issues and be capable of implementing solutions
