Platform Finance & Commercial Associate (London / Hybrid)

We’re hiring a Platform Finance & Commercial Associate to support a fast-growing distributed energy investment platform operating across multiple European markets.

This is a hands-on, analytical role sitting close to senior leadership, working across financial planning, commercial appraisal, project review and portfolio support. The role is well suited to someone with a Big 4 background who has since moved into an IPP or infrastructure business, and is now looking for broader exposure and responsibility.

The Role

You’ll work across several operating platforms, supporting both investment and operational decision-making, with responsibilities including:

Financial planning, budgeting and project-level financial modelling
Reviewing and stress-testing commercial assumptions for new and existing projects
Supporting valuation inputs and performance analysis across the portfolio

Assisting with project appraisal, investment cases and decision materials

Contributing to asset management and portfolio performance tracking

Working closely with platform management teams on reporting, forecasts and risks

Preparing board- and investor-ready analysis for senior stakeholders

This is not a narrow finance role, you’ll be exposed to the full lifecycle of distributed energy assets, from development through to operations.

The Ideal Profile

We’re looking for someone who combines strong financial fundamentals with commercial curiosity:

Background in Big 4 (Audit, Deals, Advisory, Transaction Services)
Followed by experience in an IPP, renewable energy, infrastructure or energy platform
Strong financial modelling and planning capability
Comfortable reviewing projects, assumptions and risks at asset level
Commercial mindset with interest in how assets perform in the real world
