The Vacancy

MSS Water Ltd and the RSK Group are recruiting for a Plumber to join the team based in South Wales & Bristol. This is a full time, permanent position. The hours for this role are Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm with additional overtime available.

The MSS Group is a specialist provider of facilities, industrial and environmental services with expertise in hazardous, highly regulated and complex environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake water system remediation works including plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installations on hot and cold-water systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards, including:
  • oACoP L8,
  • oHSG 274,
  • oHTM: 04-01,
  • oWater Regulations,
  • oBSEN 806
  • Carry out TMV (Thermostatic Mixing Valve) servicing.
  • Perform plumbing repairs efficiently and effectively.
  • Report daily activities and outputs using relevant media.
  • Provide advice to clients as required.
  • Support and carry out Water Technician-related tasks such as monitoring and maintenance.
  • Ensure all works are conducted in a compliant, efficient, and professional manner.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Knowledge of Legionella guidelines including L8 and HSG274 beneficial.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in the plumbing sector
  • Exceptional customer service and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for short durations and additional overtime.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • NVQ Level 2, equivalent or higher
